The Centre

The Stephen Lawrence Centre, by David Adjaye is designed to excite and inspire its visitors and create an engaging learning environment. The Centre was opened in 2008. Overtime the aspirations of the Centre have grown with the Trusts core beliefs.

Being located out of the congestion zone and with parking, the Centre is ideally situated in Zone 2 and just nine minutes from London Bridge via Over ground at New Cross or St Johns mainline stations. Deptford Cross DLR runs past the Building and is within easy reach of the City.

Today, as well as being the venue for delivering our wider access and opportunity programmes the Centre hosts community based programmes for all ages including programmes in IT, creative arts and multi-media. In addition, the Centre is a favored venue for learning and development programmes for businesses of all types and sizes.

The Centre boast AV and hi-spec IT suites, creative labs, meeting rooms and common areas all of which are available for hire at competitive rates.

A Corporate membership of the Stephen Lawrence Centre is available and costs £5,000 and is a organisation’s way of investing in the future of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Each membership entitles your company to significantly-discounted room hire rates at the Centre. The membership includes a donation of £1,000 directly to the Stephen Lawrence 1818 campaign, helping enable the next generation of young people achieve Stephen’s dream of building a better urban environment.

The Centre now offers 19 serviceable office desks to urban environment and design companies that fall in the Trust ethos.
